Jack of Diamonds What if the local cat burglar was really your dog? He didn’t mean it, really. He was trained to steal. Jack of Diamonds is a story about Jack, a little dog that was raised in a gypsy camp. His master taught him to steal jewels (and wallets, and watches) from unscrupulous and unsuspecting card players. Good boy! One day the gypsy camp is raided, and Jack runs away. Lonely and hungry, Jack is quickly adopted by a nice family across town. But old habits are hard to break as Jack continues on his thieving ways, causing much trouble and confusion to his new family. And while the local police were looking for a cat burglar, Jack’s new found family teaches Jack that he really did strike it rich.
